Academics & Test Prep
Intelligentsia provides subject specialists, organizational experts and comprehensive tutors for grades 3-12 and beyond. We cover all coursework in Mathematics, Sciences, Writing, Humanities, Classics, and World Languages. In addition to academic support, we offer test prep and in-home mock testing for scholastic and collegiate entrance exams, including the ACT, SAT, AP and Regents Exams, as well as the ISEE, SHSAT and SSAT.

College Process Application Assistance
In recent years, Intelligentsia has helped students gain admittance to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Brown, Penn, University of Chicago, Williams, CalTech, plus many more. Even during the unprecedented class of 2021 admissions cycle, we had multiple students admitted to Brown.
We work with students on the college admissions process from start to finish, usually beginning Sophomore year. We ensure that students are using their time in school, after school and over break to bring their interests into action, so that their portfolios will shine. Our tutors thoroughly evaluate each student’s personal, academic and social needs, then help them find the schools that will suit them best. We reduce stress inherent to the process by managing deadlines, improving writing skills, and refining essay topics. Admissions for Independent Schools
Intelligentsia advises families on the application process for New York Independent Schools at all levels. We create a benchmarked timeline tailored to each student’s goals, keep them on track, and provide comprehensive preparation for entrance exams. Additionally, families receive advice on the strengths and cultures of their schools of choice. We also offer holistic test preparation for the ISEE, SHSAT, Regents and OLSAT/BSRA, otherwise known as the Gifted and Talented Entrance Exam. Prep for other HS tests also available.
Course Selection & Family Consultation
Course selection can often be a daunting task, but Intelligentsia can advise on how to select courses based on the student’s strengths and interests, while also considering how they’re positioning themselves for the coming years. We also offer family consultation to help navigate school relationships, which can be particularly tricky in New York Independent Schools.
